Very happy that our KiDS-1000 analysis for the “Dark Scattering” model with accurate and blazing fast nonlinear predictions is out, led by Karim Carrion. It confirms this is one of the most promising ways to solve the S8 tension with new physics.

On 14 June 2023 the Scottish Affairs Committee launched the Science and Scotland inquiry. This inquiry is looking at the international influence of Scottish Science, and research and development as well as how effectively UK Government money is spent on research and development within the scientific community.

Our new paper explains how we can constrain modified gravity and massive neutrinos with galaxy clustering data from surveys like DESI. We focus on robust nonlinear modelling and prior effects. We also analyse BOSS data with our formalism.

On February 22, Thales Alenia Space, joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33 %) and industrial prime contractor for Euclid, together with European Space Agency (ESA) welcomed for the first time eminent scientists from the Euclid Consortium with the satellite in its final integration phase.

We embed linear and nonlinear parametrisations of beyond standard cosmological physics in the halo model reaction framework, providing a model-independent prescription for the nonlinear matter power spectrum. As an application, we focus on Horndeski theories, using the Effective Field Theory of Dark Energy (EFTofDE) to parameterise linear and quasi-nonlinear perturbations.

We analyse the BOSS DR12 multipoles of the galaxy power spectrum jointly with measurements of the BAO scale for three different models of dark energy. We use recent measurements performed with a windowless estimator, and an independent and fast pipeline based on EFTofLSS modelling implemented via the FAST-PT algorithm to compute the integrals of the redshift-space loop corrections.

Interacting dark energy from the joint analysis of the power spectrum and bispectrum multipoles with the EFTofLSS We focus on a phenomenologically interesting class of dark scattering models that is characterised by pure momentum exchange between dark energy and dark matter.

In a recent paper I am using 1-loop perturbation theory with counter terms to model the mildly nonlinear scales for HI intensity mapping and run trustworthy, conservative “full shape” MCMC forecasts.
